Stand on your grave
Last week I decided to shut down Godmode and return capital to our investors
Tough week.
On Monday, I announced that we are to shut down Godmode, our company. Particularly tough, considering we poured blood, sweat and tears for the last 2-3 years.

How did I decide to shut down a business that was
on its way to profitability soon
had more than 3 years of runway
in a growing market intersection of AI and sales
I stood on my grave.
Maybe a mid life crisis and maybe not - I closed my eyes.
Long and hard, I ran through scenes where I am dead. Of old age.
My purpose was to backsolve how I wanna live the rest of the years in between.
I saw myself:
as a soldier
as a teacher
as a banker
as a chef and many more
One of them was to my liking.
Then it was simply a way of compare and contrasting (honestly) if my current company was to get there.
It was not.
If you do this exercise, 2 things will happen at the same time:
A certain sense of numbness strikes.
Pain just gets elevated.
If you dare enough to be intellectually honest with yourself, you will get to know the correct answer.
Don’t put this off.

Along with this change, I am changing the name of this newsletter to Founding Mode.
Why?
Because I am in it.
I will cover a free flow of ideas, how I think about them, how to decided what to work rather than how to work on it as a priority, AI itself and new distribution channels and tactics.
